About
Letizia Faba
Born 1970
Melbourne, Australia
As an artist Letizia brings a unique blend of skills and experiences to her creative endeavors.
Her specialties lie in photography, painting with acrylic and encaustic wax, digital imagery as well as mixed media. With a rich background in teaching art practices across various educational settings and curating exhibitions in galleries and community arts events, she brings a diverse range of experiences to her work.
Letizia’s lifelong passion for the arts is fueled by a constant search for moments of beauty in our visually stimulating world, humour and connections with the past. Her passion for beauty in all its forms, from the resilience of women to the wonders of nature. She draws inspiration from the past, the enduring strength of women from all walks of life, travels, and nature, she strives to capture the essence of these influences in her creations.
As a young photography student Letizia was inspired by the words of Margaret Cameron, a pioneering female photographer, and with time this sentiment has developed and matured to still encapsulate Letizia’s approach to art.
Beauty, you’re under arrest. I have a camera, and I’m not afraid to use it.
Margaret Cameron
She believes that the essence of imagery transcends the tools used to create it, allowing for a deeper connection to the beauty that surrounds us all.
