The "Martin and Lewis Series" celebrates vintage comedy and nostalgia through a selection of digital images. Growing up watching old movies has deeply influenced my artistic journey. I’ve always been fascinated with the enduring friendship and comedic genius of both Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. This collection is a tribute to the two entertainers.
Through this series, I explore the dynamic between these two icons, their on-screen chemistry, and the timeless humour that continues to resonate with audiences today. Each piece reflects not only their performances but also the era they inhabited, invoking a sense of joy and laughter that transcends generations.
These artworks blend historical charm with a contemporary aesthetic, inviting you to appreciate vibrant colours and intricate details. My hope is that these images display my passion for both art and storytelling.
Ultimately, the "Martin and Lewis Series " is more than a homage to beloved entertainers—it's a reflection on friendship, laughter, and the enduring power of nostalgia in our lives.
Work In Progress
I am currently working on two main collections in my studio.
The first is a series of 3D hanging works titled "Female Aviators," inspired by the incredible female pioneers of early aviation. Each piece is printed on luxurious fabrics like velvet, among other textiles, and meticulously sewn with feathers (symbolizing flight), lace (adding a feminine touch), leather (reminiscent of flight uniforms), and other adornments.
The second series delves into the "Rat Pack," reflecting my fascination with Hollywood entertainers from the golden age of glamour, celebration, music, and film. These digital images are vibrant, capturing intricate details in the characters' attire, expressions, and camaraderie.
